Install

These pages describe the main branch. The latest published release is v0.6.0; features marked “In the next release” on the home page are not in it.

Installs cw/cwd to ~/.local/bin for macOS (arm64/x64) and Linux (x64). On macOS arm64, releases that carry the Cockpit asset also install it to ~/Applications/crossweave Cockpit.app (the installer remains compatible with older releases that do not carry the app). Every downloaded artifact is checksum-verified; the installer uses no sudo and never edits shell rc files.

cw checks for a newer version in the background (cached, at most once a day) and tells you to run cw update when one exists — never installs anything without you running that command. Turn it off with cw config update-check off.

Uninstall

In this order, so that nothing is left running or half removed:

Land or keep any work you want from your sessions.
Take back the agent hooks you installed: cw hooks remove claude and cw hooks remove codex.
Stop the sessions you no longer need (cw session stop NAME), then remove them with cw session rm NAME --yes, or collect ended ones with cw gc, which keeps ended sessions that still hold unlanded work. Removing a session deletes its worktree and branch.
Quit the Cockpit, then stop each project's daemon with cw daemon stop, run inside that project.
Delete cw and cwd from ~/.local/bin, the app from ~/Applications (or /Applications), each project's .crossweave folder, and your settings in ~/.crossweave.
